Imagining 2024 so often and in such detail that it feels like a memory — yes. Although our situations are very different, thank you, Laura, for giving words to the ache I feel too going into the unknown. Praying strength and grace and comfort over your family.
I found out about your work through Kimberly Knowle-Zeller, who was a seminary classmate. I’m also a breast cancer survivor, and went through chemo last summer. About a year later and I have a curly mullet- all the curl from the chemo. Just to add an image to your summer 2024 dreaming. Hang in there! Much love from this Lutheran
Thank you for your beautiful words! I read this on a park bench just before beginning a rosary. The words of the Our Father hit different now.
Continuing to pray for you along the way.
What a timely word and how it lifts us up! I read this too shortly after, and would like to share it with us here: https://www.journeywithjesus.net/lectionary-essays/current-essay
