Thanks for your words, Laura. I think I need forgiveness and curiosity in my family life, especially towards myself and my children. I have been feeling so frustrated and irritated in parenting lately, feeling as though our life is a tight loop without quite enough breathing space for me. And so I’ve been irritated with myself and my children’s very normal child behavior. The move to curiosity sounds like a breath of fresh air and reminds me of a children’s book we love by Kate DiCamillo, Stella Endicott and the Anything is Possible Poem. I really recommend it, as it also features to children who are seeming enemies at first and then come to see how much they have in common. Thank you for sharing your words and wisdom!
Thank you for your kind words and for the suggestion of this book! I love Kate DiCamillo so will definitely check this out. And solidarity for your parenting struggles as well. Lots of frustration and irritation over here too, and never enough space to breathe it seems. Praying for peace and enough pauses to keep going.
