I believe God not only walks over every square inch of earth and all of creation, but is always present in every place. What we need is awareness and sensitivity to know that He is. It’s a state of mind for me developed through contemplation and volition. I loved this article!
Right there with you, Mark. This is why Emmanuel is forever one of my favorite names for God: With-Us. When we try to remember this and live into its reality, everything changes, doesn't it?
I like the way you state it “live into its reality,” isn’t that life as a Jesus follower, growing in comprehension of being united with Christ in God through the Spirit. As I live and seek, it sinks deeper into my consciousness and being.
I loved everything you wrote here, Laura. Especially these questions: “How many stories of labor, love, and loss have layered themselves like soil and silt upon this ground over centuries of living? How many more will come?”
So beautiful, Laura. Thank you. And in this season of autumn when so many bushes are afire with color, some days it feels like everywhere I look is holy ground.
Yes! This fall I couldn't stop seeing the burning bushes everywhere (literally and figuratively). Nature calls us to pay attention to the holy right around us.
Beautiful writing! 💗
Thank you, Emily!

Everything that surrounds us in this world has its own spirit. And we are blessed when we experience that spirit.
Sometimes the experience can be extraordinarily simple. When I stand in front of my house and breathe in the breeze I feel God’s presence.
The simplicity of that grace-filled moment - yes. You evoke this so beautifully, Sharon.
Thank you
Oh this is so very beautiful. 🙏🏻💗
Thank you so much, Jenni.
