Enjoy a few beautiful, hopeful glimmers today. If you’d like to join me tomorrow for a free mini-retreat to prepare for Holy Week, it’s not too late to sign up here!
Need to see the world anew? Who doesn’t. Check out the irresistible & delightful work of Japanese miniature artist Tatsuya Tanaka on Instagram.
Every so often (like last week), I take my art history self on a museum date. Here’s a lovely book for the art-lover and for those who long to understand it: Rembrandt Is In The Wind: Learning To Love Art Through The Eyes Of Faith by Russ Ramsey.
Memorizing poems keeps me sane in doctors’ waiting rooms. So I loved this invitation to turn from phone to poetry: The Morning Ritual That Helps Me Resist the Algorithm.
Speaking of poetry, this single line from Joseph Fasano has returned to me every day since I first read it: “The world is not over, only broken.” From his poem “For Those Who Didn’t Vote For This.”
An update on our collective fundraiser for Catholic Relief Services: we have raised over $40,000 together, including a number of donations outside the online total. Isn’t that incredible?! Humans doing good together! You still have time to give during Lent here. Thank you so much for your generous support.
P.s. Thanks to those of you who suggested Jess Ray’s version of the Suscipe last week, I’ve been listening to it non-stop.

I started this year with a commitment to myself to finish each day with a poem and 15-30mins of classical music (using the sleep function on my alarm clock, now tuned to Radio 3!) A small change, but one I have come to value highly.
Thank you. I needed this, especially after spending far too much time doom scrolling yesterday.
